Godly Play for Children and Families at the Cathedral
Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral is an urban community dedicated to the spiritual growth of children. Join us as we open our new Godly Play Center on Sunday, September 18th.

Welcome to another program year at The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral!
Here is what we offer your family over the coming months:
• For both children and adults, a chance to be inspired by the Christian spiritual tradition, and to explore your personal response;
• A group to journey with as you worship and explore,
• Times to be together as a spiritual family at our Family Sundays,
• Ways to serve others in need;
• Times to laugh and play and make friends at our ice skating parties, Christmas carol sings, zoo trips, and more….
Come join us and add the important influence of spiritual formation to your child’s life.

OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAM
Children from preschool to grade 5 will gather at 9:30 am beginning Sunday, September 18 for our Godly Play Sunday School.
Godly Play is an Episcopal curriculum that tells the stories of the Old and New Testaments, our liturgical year, and the sacraments in a wonderful and creative way. We will be traveling through the desert with the People of God this fall as we explore the Old Testament!
9:30 a.m. - To help make life simpler, we will offer breakfast every Sunday in the Godly Play classrooms. Come early for a chance to meet with other parents and enjoy a simple meal.
10:00 a.m.-Remember, we begin the story promptly at 10:00 am, and usually finish around 10:20 am. Your child will benefit from the class in a very limited way if he or she misses story time, so we urge you to do your best to arrive on time.
Classroom Location &Teachers Grades K-5 will meet in Gateson House across from the cathedral in a beautiful first-floor classroom. Teaches with year are Meredith Wiggins, Ada Hoffer Perkins, Sarah Schlecter, and Samantha Wiggins.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing a rich year together
Love,
Meredith Wiggins Director of Children’s & Family Ministries
