Corning West High School Chorus comes to Philadelphia Cathedral

You are invited to a matinee performance by The Corning West High School Chorus at Philadelphia Cathedral on Saturday, March 13th at 2:00 p.m.

Select voices from the West High Chorus from Painted Post, News York will be performing at the Philadelphia Cathedral Saturday, March 13th at 2 pm. The matinee performance will feature a women’s chorale, an a cappella ensemble, and a select mixed choir.

This recital conducted by David H. Smith Jr., will feature a variety of genres such as madrigals, world, classical, cultural and spiritual music.

Some of the selections will include Streets of London, Mo Li Hua featuring Chinese flutist Joanne Wand and My Immortal featuring solo dancer Marissa Furney. Other pieces from composers such as Mozart, and Thomas Morley will also be performed.

The select a cappella group, Occidentals is Corning’s premiere vocal ensemble and has over a thirty year history of excellence. Performances always include varied repertoire from classical, to “glee” style arrangements. For more information, please call 215.386.0234, ext 104. The concert is free and open to the public.
