Wall of Women, has been an ongoing project conceived by Anne Saint Peter to honor the many talented women in all disciplines of the Arts.
Begun in the fall of 2008, the project includes black and white analog portraits of over 100 artistic women, including visual, poetics, music and dance.
Anne Saint Peter is a Philadelphia photographer who is passionately engaged in the deep exploration of a variety of photographic processes. Anne combines traditional black and white film and darkroom work with her mastery of contemporary digital editing and printing.
She makes pinhole cameras, collects and photographs with antique cameras and experiments with printing images on metal plates. She does the entire process herself in her darkroom and studio. Each finished image is a blend of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
Anne studied painting and art history at the University of New Mexico, a landscape conducive for creativity. With a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia, she continues her life-long passion in the Arts.
Anne continues to explore Philadelphia, and its people, looking to experience new ways to see things and interpret them into her photographs.
