Diocesan Ordinations & Rites of Christian Initiation at the Cathedral
We’ve come this far by faith
On Saturday, June 6, Philadelphia Cathedral was the setting for the Rites of Ordination and Rites of Christian Initiation. The Rt. Rev. Rodney R. Michel, presided with The Rt. Rev. Edward L. Lee Jr. serving as the ordaining Bishop. The Rev. Rodger C. Broadley, Rector of the Church of St. Luke and the Epiphany was the homilist for the Liturgy.
The Reverend Deidre Rouse Whitfield was ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests and Robert Michael Davidson was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons.
Those receiving the Rites of Christian Initiation included members of the Church of the Annunciation, and Glori Dei Church of Philadelphia, The Church of St. Asaph, Bala Cynwyd and Christ Church, Media.
A reception followed in the Cathedral Garden.
