Music & The Arts at the Cathedral
Enriching our community through music, worship and cultural programs
OUR MISSION
The music program of Philadelphia Cathedral exists in order to enhance the liturgy, edify and educate the cathedral community, and to enrich the cultural life of the community. All are welcome to participate in the worship, education and fellowship of the cathedral.

For over 125 years, the community of this building has maintained a music program to benefit the worshipping community. From men and boys choirs to professional chamber choirs, the choral tradition of this building has been used for an array of purpose.

Since the reordering of the cathedral in 2002, the cathedral music program maintains a choir program in a new tradition and is affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music.
The cathedral has a group of cantors and singers - appropriately named, the cathedral singers. On a given Sunday morning, the cathedral singers help lead the congregation in hymns, songs, and ritual music.
