JudySullivan
   

The Very Rev. Judith Sullivan returned to the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral in July, 2010, following her election as the fourth dean.   She had served previously at this Cathedral, first as Missioner and then as Canon Residentiary, from 2004 to 2007. Prior to her return, she was the Associate Rector of the Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

The Rev. Sarah Hedgis has been a member of the Diocese of Pennsylvania since 2012. She was ordained to the diaconate in this very Cathedral in June 2015 and to the priesthood in January 2016
 
A native of Georgia, Sarah earned her Bachelor's degree in Christianity/Women’s and Gender Studies from Mercer University and a Master of Divinity from Emory University's Candler School of Theology. She also completed a Diploma in Anglican Studies from the General Theological Seminary in New York City.
 
Sarah previously served at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church, a vibrant mission church in Northeast Philadelphia, as well as on diocesan staff as the Director of the Episcopal Mission Center (EMC), a diocesan program that seeks to instill missional living. Sarah also served on the Bishop Search and Nominating Committee for our diocese last year.

REVEREND ROBERT TATE

The Rev. Robert L. Tate serves as part-time Priest Associate at the Cathedral. From 1995 to 2009 Bob was the Rector of the Church of St. Martin-in-the Fields in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. He now works as a part-time parish ministry consultant throughout the Diocese and in 2010 joined the Cathedral staff. He oversees the Cathedral Visual Arts Program, preaches and presides regularly.

The Rev. Phillip Bennett has served in the Diocese of Pennsylvania since 1982. He has been Associate Rector at St. Mark’s, Locust Street, Philadelphia; Priest-in-Charge, St. Peter’s Germantown; Assisting Priest, St. Peter’s Pine Street, Philadelphia, and most recently as Assisting Priest at St. Martin-in-the Fields, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia.

THOMAS LLOYD

Thomas Lloyd

Thomas Lloyd, Director of Music since Fall 2010, has been a member of the music faculty at Haverford College since 1996, where he directs the combined choral program for Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges.  He has also performed as Artistic Director of the Bucks County Choral Society since 2000. Dr. Lloyd holds degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory, Yale Divinity School, Yale School of Music, and the University of Illinois.

Daniel Tomko joined the staff of the Cathedral in 2007.  He brings more than twenty years of successful experience from the non-profit sector. As Director of Member and Worship support, he works closely with the Dean, members of the Cathedral staff and others in the Diocese. His responsibilities include overseeing the flow of information and production of materials related to Diocesan and Cathedral liturgies, congregational life and stewardship, volunteer recruitment and outreach.

MEREDITH WIGGINS

FAMILY MINISTRY

Meredith Wiggins

Meredith Wiggins has 11 years of experience leading creative Christian education programs for children and youth in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and Pennsylvania. Her experience runs the gamut from spiritual formation classes, weekly worship, monthly service and recreational events, overseas pilgrimages, and summer camps, to parenting classes for the local community.

JOHN ANDREW BAILEY

John Bailey

John Andrew Bailey is the organist at the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral. He also teaches in the Intellectual Heritage program at Temple University, and has taught music and humanities courses at the University of Pennsylvania, Swarthmore College, Bryn Mawr College, and Montclair State University. He is also a long-time staff member and teacher for the Amherst Early Music Festival.

Lamont Murray

Lamont Murray has been the Cathedral Steward since 2005. In addition to maintaining the property and buildings, Lamont provides support for Cathedral and Diocesan services, as well as weddings, concerts and other events at the Cathedral. His file is filled with letters of thanks and praise from grateful orchestra directors, event coordinators, and happy brides and grooms.

LYNN BUGGAGE

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Lynn Buggage

Lynn Buggage, a New Orleans native, previously served as the Parish Administrator at the historic Church of the Advocate. Prior to that, Lynn worked in management in the health and human services arena in both the non-profit and public sectors.
 
A graduate of Loyola University, Lynn has volunteered with a variety community organizations dedicated to social uplift and health care advocacy. In her leisure time she enjoys traveling, listening to good music and reading historical fiction.
 
Lynn's operations responsibilities will include financial administration, property oversight, and office management.
