Centering Prayer Workshop

A brief introduction to “Centering Prayer” will be offered by Tom Connolly on Saturday, September 26 from 9 a.m. until Noon in the England Room of Cathedral House of the Philadelphia Cathedral, 3723 Chestnut Street. The workshop is sponsored by the Philadelphia Cathedral Cathedral and Contemplative Outreach Ltd.
This introduction will take the form of a “mini-workshop.” It will follow the outline of the longer workshop usually offered by Contemplative Outreach Ltd., touching in a concentrated manner on the following four general headings:
Prayer as Relationship
The Method of Centering Prayer
Thoughts and Use of the Sacred Word.
Deepening Our Relationship with God.
There will be two brief periods of prayer, and one break for a little socializing.
