The Schuylkill Deanery of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania will host a Wellness and Lifestyle Summit - Health Fair and Expo on April 21, 2018 from 9:30 - 4 in the Cathedral. The Health Fair is free and open to the public. There will be activities for all ages.
The Summit will bring together more than 20 health vendors to provide services and educational materials on important health issues that affect the community. Health care providers will be o hand to present education on common chronic illnesses, as well as Oral Health, Women's Health Issues, Men's Health over 40 and Aging Well. Our experts will help you or a loved one navigate many health insurance options, including Medicare, Medicaid, and market insurance plans. Also, free screenings and informational booths will be available.
There will be interactive demonstrations of healthy lifestyle activities: nutrition, yoga, Zumba, line dancing, and personal safety to name a few. Our fitness and lifestyle partners will be available to help you design a program matched to your lifestyle. Seminars will include Self-care, Elder Care and Estate Planning, Behavioral Health, and the spiritual connection to wellness. Youth are invited to join us in the "IRL Lounge" to discuss the issues that impact their lives. Two "Wellness Town Hall" sessions are scheduled featuring appearances from public officials.
