All who worship regularly serve on a Sunday liturgical team which shares in rotation many of the responsibilities for the preparation and action of worship as we assemble to praise God and to offer the gift of ourselves. Each team is led by three co-leaders who share with the clergy the oversight of the cathedral community.
- Welcome: make real the Cathedral's "open door for all people," greeting all those who pass through our doors before, during, and after the service or event.
- Hospitality: make real the Cathedral's ideal of unconditional hospitality, sharing responsibility for organizing appropriate refreshments whenever the community gathers.
- Physical Space: make ready the worship space and take care of the incense for the Sunday Liturgy.
- Sacristy: prepare and put in place all that is necessary for the liturgy to be offered seamlessly.
- Presenters (3): assist with preparations for the Eucharist, and present the gifts at the Offertory.
- Book Holders: assist the Presider by holding the service book during the Great Thanksgiving at the altar table.
- Servers: assist the sacristan with preparations for the Eucharist, and assist the Deacon or Liturgical Assistant with the setting of the altar table and with the ablutions.
- Readers: proclaim the Scriptures clearly and boldly, for which special training is a pre-requisite.
- Intercessors: compose and lead the Prayers of the People at the Eucharist, for which special training is a pre-requisite.
