Each week we highlight fun summer happenings around the city.  We invite anyone who is interested to meet up and enjoy these summertime events.  These aren't formal Cathedral outings, but a chance for members of our community to connect and spend time together.

Clark Park


Established in 1895, Clark Park is in the heart of West Philadelphia’s University City. With more than 300 trees, it covers nine acres between Baltimore Avenue, Woodland Avenue, 43rd Street and 45th Street. The park offers a basketball court, an open field, a playground, statues, and several paths. It also hosts various events, such as music and arts festivals and a weekly farmers market.

Join Roots2Rise every Thursday from 6-7PM for free yoga in the park! Donations are encouraged and those who donate will receive a free drink ticket to use at Parks on Tap that day.

Smooth Jazz Summer Nights: The Baylor Project at Penn's Landing

The free, outdoor concert series highlights renowned jazz and blues musicians from across the globe, creating performances for those of all ages each Friday night in August. Join us for a special performance by The Baylor Project.

About The Baylor Project:

The Baylor Project featuring Jean Baylor and Marcus Baylor highly anticipated collaboration is steeped in the heart and soul of Jazz. As the children of Pastors, Marcus and Jean's musical roots were planted deep within the church, and it was there that the road was paved for the influence of gospel, blues, soul, and jazz to make its mark.
