The Rev. Dr. Mary Ann B. Mertz
The Reverend Dr. Mary Ann Mertz serves the Diocese of Pennsylvania as the Rector of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Oxford. She also serves as the Chairperson of the diocesan Liturgical Commission.
Mary Ann was born in Louisville, KY where she graduated from Bellarmine University after earning the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Music. Trained as both a classical musician and in the art of jazz, Mary Ann always placed her musical gifts in service to God and God’s people gathered for worship. Mary Ann earned a Master of Theological Studies degree from St. Meinrad School of Theology and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Mary Ann attended The General Theological Seminary in New York and, after graduating in 2009 with a Diploma of Anglican Studies, was ordained a deacon and then priest.
