Last September, the Cathedral lost artist Jerry DiFalco, one of its most beloved and long-standing members, devoted husband of Cathedral parishioner Ron Funk, as well as a deeply gifted, devout, and iconoclastic artist whose work received international recognition. For more details of Jerry's amazing life and career please see his obituary from the Philadelphia Inquirer.

We are honoring Jerry's memory this September with a retrospective exhibition curated by Tom Lloyd and Blaise Tobia of some of his larger paintings spanning the full length of his decades-long career. A thoughtful introduction to this exhibit is available here. Please take a few moments to view it.
The works will be on view from September 10 to October 16, with an opening reception on Friday, September 16 from 5-7pm at the Cathedral. The exhibition will also be on view at the special LGBTQIA+ Evening Prayer service at the Cathedral on Sunday, September 11 at 5pm.
A catalog of this show is available here. Most works in this show will be for sale. It is the wish of Jerry DiFalco’s life partner and longtime Cathedral parishioner Ron Funk that all proceeds will benefit The Attic Youth Center, Philadelphia, and the Cathedral Arts program.
